At the National Permanent Makeup Association (NPMUA), we know that completing your training is just one part of the journey. That’s why we’re proud to introduce our all-new SOS Program: Support Occupational Success—a full 12-month support system built to bridge the gap between education and career independence.

 

Why We Created the SOS Program

Let’s be honest: too many students are being set up for failure.

Even the best training programs fall short if students aren't given the tools to succeed after graduation. While some students are already licensed beauty professionals expanding their service menus, and others step straight into jobs at PMU clinics, spas, or tattoo studios, many graduates have no job lined up, no commercial space, and no existing clientele.

And for those students—the ones who are still finding their footing—the industry offers little to no support. Until now.

 

More Than Just Licensing

The SOS Program goes beyond the 6-month SNHD apprenticeship and licensing requirement. We’ve added an additional 6 months of dedicated mentorship designed to help new artists launch their careers with confidence and real momentum.  This program launched in May 2025. Students who register for SNHD licensing programs from May 2025 and after are automatically covered by SOS!

• You can build your portfolio and clientele

• And yes—you can take your clients with you when you're ready to move into your own space!
